incredible incredible incredible sato rose!!! i find making a pentagon first extremely irritable, howd you manage to make it out of a square? did you make the pentagon shape and simply fold in the corners? i am using a 9 3/4 inch kami paper, one problem when doing it the "traditional way" is that the middle of the paper (where all the creases intersect) will sometimes create a tiny rip hole which i too find irritable. so, with a 6 inch tant paper, about how wide is the finished product? thank you
Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your kind words :] The pentagon... is a bit of a guessing game... it is a bit hard to explain with words, so I will make a tutorial for you and others. This particular rose however, is already made from a square... it is not a pentagon. The kami is too thin, good paper is bigger, thicker paper. Tant is good to use, but it ends up rather small, with a rose no bigger than 2 inches wide... it is very cute. I used Tant for this rose, since it was a square it was maybe about 2.5 inches wide.
just love it
That's a fantastic looking rose, nice job!
That looks so nice! I can only make Kawasaki roses at the moment. I should try my hand at this one. It looks more... rose-like. X3
A wonderful rose.
do you find instructions on how to do these or do you just sorta know by looking at them after doing it so much?
Learnt from designer and memorized
Beautiful! This makes me want to learn to make origami. So complex.
